Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you download, subscribe to, and use Tally.

Effective and last updated: 19 August 2026

Apple's standard terms apply

Your use of Tally is governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement in addition to the information below.

Nutrition information and AI estimates

Tally is a food-logging and estimation tool. Nutrition values from bundled data, user entries, barcode or food databases, AI estimates, photographs, menus, receipts, and serving conversions may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Restaurant recipes and portion sizes can vary.

Review every result before saving or relying on it. Tally does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a prescribed diet, and it is not intended for emergency use. Consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional for advice about allergies, eating disorders, pregnancy, medical conditions, medication, or other health needs.

Your content and responsible use

You are responsible for the descriptions, images, and other information you submit and for having the right to use that content. Do not submit confidential information, personal data about another person, payment details, medical records, or unlawful content.

You must not attempt to bypass Tally's App Attest checks, usage limits, access controls, subscription checks, or service-security measures; interfere with the service; or use automated requests in a way that harms availability for others.

Subscriptions

Tally may offer auto-renewing weekly and annual Tally Pro subscriptions. The exact price, billing period, included features, and any trial or introductory offer are shown on the App Store purchase screen before you subscribe.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when the purchase is confirmed.
  • Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.

Trial or introductory-offer eligibility is determined by Apple. Cancelling prevents the next renewal but may not immediately remove access for the remainder of the paid or trial period.

Purchases, restoration, and refunds

You can restore eligible purchases from Tally. Apple processes all App Store payments and refund requests. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your records and backups

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for keeping appropriate device backups. Tally currently stores food logs and related records locally. Deleting the app can remove local records, subject to any device backup maintained by Apple.

Third-party services

Some optional features rely on Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, OpenAI, DeepSeek, and food-data providers. Their services may be unavailable, changed, or discontinued and are governed by their own terms and policies. Tally does not guarantee the availability or accuracy of third-party services.

Changes and availability

Tally may be updated, changed, limited, or discontinued. Reasonable efforts are made to keep the app and optional services available and working correctly, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed. Features may differ by device, region, app version, subscription status, or provider availability.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated to reflect changes to Tally, its subscriptions, providers, or legal requirements. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version. Continued use after an update is subject to the updated terms and Apple's applicable rules.
